filtered for three things to look forward to
Because we need some punctuation.
- Colin Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay are collaborating on a six-episode series about his life for Netflix. “We explore the racial conflicts I faced as an adopted Black man in a white community, during my high school years,” says Kaepernick.
- The new David Mitchell book, Utopia Avenue, is out on July 14. “Mitchell returns with a gritty, richly detailed fable from rock’s golden age.”
- Sally Rooney’s Conversations with Friends will be adapted for Hulu by the same team that did Normal People. If you haven’t seen Normal People, read the book first and then go watch it. I could only do an episode at a time because it was Just. Too. Much.
