Some snapshots taken through the windows of our neighborhood elementary school, April 16 2020.
Our kids went here. I remember what these rooms sound like, feel like, smell like when they’re full of life. It’s surreal to peer in and see entire classrooms of chairs, tables, whiteboards, markers, artwork, books, markers, homework folders — and, of course, peace signs — frozen perfectly still, on pause, patiently waiting for kids and teachers to return.
