Rose — thanks for the note! If you choose to have your stories reviewed by curators, and they’re approved, they will be part of the metered paywall. However, there are some important things to note!

• Those stories are also promoted to users who are not members, and with our meter, users get a number of stories to read per month without hitting the paywall. Currently that number is three, but we’re always experimenting with different numbers of stories that are metered, in order to understand the impact on reading and subscriptions.
• You can also use the Friend Link to share with people you know personally, with your friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter, or anywhere links can spread — those links will bypass the meter entirely.
